Funeral services for Dale R. Boatwright, 81, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 in the Ninnekah First Baptist Church with Eddie Coast officiating.
Dale R. Boatwright was born on October 16, 1934 in Wanette, Oklahoma, the son of Ira Cheslely Boatwright and Alta Mona (Caskey) Boatwright. He passed away at his home in Chickasha, Oklahoma on July 6, 2016.
Dale grew up in Alex, Oklahoma and attended Alex Public School.
On July 31, 1953 in Duncan, Oklahoma, he married Ruby Louise Ramsey. They were married for close to 63 years.
Dale was self-employed as a commercial and residential contractor for over 40 years, retiring in 2000, and also did some farming.
He was a member of the Ninnekah First Baptist Church. He enjoyed square dancing for 25 years. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, camping, water skiing, and motorcycle riding. He loved playing cards with his grandchildren and family.
Dale was preceded in death by both parents and five brothers, Lavoy Boatwright, Lloyd Boatwright, Glennis Boatwright, Vernon Boatwright and Guy Boatwright.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Shana and Jim Beckett of Chickasha, and Dianna and Nathan Walker of Hackett, Arkansas; grandchildren, Trinket Rex, Tiffany Guerrero, Jeremy Owens, Cherie Garmon, Unico Buccella, Elijah Pitcock, and Lee DeBord; great-grandchildren, Morgan Kendrick, Maci Kendrick, Maddie Kendrick, Mavrick Guerrero, Iain Garmon, Aibhlinn Garmon, Devin Bucccella, Jordan DeBord and Whitney DeBord; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
