Graveside services for Dale Frederick Phillips, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018, in the Rose Hill Cemetery with Pastor Dave Brinkman officiating.
Dale Frederick Phillips was born December 29, 1928, in Geary, Oklahoma, to Thomas Phillips and Beulah (Harris) Phillips. He died Wednesday, October 10, 2018, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Dale lived in Chickasha most of his life and graduated from Chickasha High School. Immediately following high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served at the end of WWII and in the Korean Conflict.
On June 22, 1952, he married Clara Ann Brees, and they were married for 57 years until her passing in 2009.
Dale attended OU and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree. He went to work as a radar and electronic technician with the FAA. He retired in December 1984. After retiring, he spent his time as a woodcraftsman making beautiful pieces of furniture for his family.
He was a member of Bible Baptist Church for several years and dedicated his latter life to praying and helping those in need. He began a Christian ministry through email on his computer offering Bible studies and taking prayer requests. This great endeavor grew to have many people influenced and blessed by his ministry.
Dale was preceded in death by both parents; his wife, Clara Ann Phillips; daughter, Pollyanna Brees Brown; and three sisters.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Janice Phillips of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Jeremiah Brown, Cameron Brown, and Coventry Brown; great-granddaughters, Brees Brown, Liberty Brown, and Hunter Brown; one brother and one sister; and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
