Funeral services for Cynthia Gay Allen, 66, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Brooks officiating.

Cynthia Gay Allen was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on January 23, 1952 and was adopted to Ray H. Williams and Lessie Irene (Reams) Williams. She passed away on August 6, 2018 at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Cynthia grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1970. After graduation, she married David Holding and during their marriage they had two daughters, Michelle Ray in 1973 and Elizabeth Ann in 1977.

She remarried on June 1, 1981 to David J. Allen, known as “Bunt”, and they were married for 37 years.

During her life, Cynthia mostly worked as a secretary for Allen Trucking Company, while her husband, Bunt, drove the trucks. She was an active member of the Eagle’s Lodge #4070. She held many different offices including, Past Madam President. She was involved in the Why Not’s and also helped organize and work many charity events.

She loved listening to music, dancing, gardening, and cooking. She enjoyed being a ‘Nana’ to her three grandchildren.

Cynthia was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Michael Williams; grandson, Caleb Stewart; father-in-law, Bill Allen and mother-in-law, Allie Allen.

Survivors include her husband, David J. “Bunt” Allen, of Chickasha; daughter, Michelle Holding of Rush Springs; daughter, Elizabeth Johnson and husband, William of Cyril; step-daughter, Gayla Stewart and husband, Richard of Owasso; step-son, Gary Allen and wife, Cindy of Chickasha; step-son, Greg Allen and wife, Diane of Blanchard; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
