Connie Darlene (Lee) Dabney was born on July 12, 1936, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Andrew Loys and Nova Kathleen (Philley) Lee. She passed from this life on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Edmond, Oklahoma
Nova’s parents and siblings all lived in California, so they did a lot of traveling back and forth. Connie Darlene started the first grade in Long Beach. and then attended the second and third grades in Clinton, Oklahoma where her dad taught industrial arts. She started the fourth grade in Weatherford and graduated from there in 1954. While in high school, she was active in band, glee club and First Baptist Church. At Falls Creek Baptist Assembly during the summer of 1947, she was saved and joined the First Baptist Church of Weatherford.
She married Billy Gene Pulis and had two children, Ann DeLois “Ande” Drewry, and David Gene Dabney. In 1966, she married Leon Dabney of Chickasha where they raised Ande and David. After the children graduated from high school and after a long battle with cancer Leon passed away in 1992. Around 2004, she moved to Oklahoma City and later married Clark Robinson. Clark died in 2020 and Connie Darlene moved to Edmond where she lived until her death.
She is survived by her two children, Ann of Albuquerque and David and wife Gina, of Edmond, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, one sister, Phillys Stevenson and John of Weatherford, niece, Carol of Weatherford and her son, Andrew, of Stillwater.
Connie Darlene was an active member for many years in local organizations including Daughters of the American Revolution and the Huguenot Society and spent countless hours working on her hobby of family genealogy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, great-grandson Mason Chreene and niece, Janet Stevenson.
A family graveside service will be held on Monday October 16

, 2023 at 10:30am in Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha. Services will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
