A funeral service for Colleen Allen, 94, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Vital Church (formerly Grand Assembly of God), 102 E. Almar Drive, Chickasha, Oklahoma with Pastor Gary Rogers officiating.
Jacquetta Colleen Allen, who went by Colleen, was born April 9, 1930 in the Alex, Oklahoma area to Carl and Cloia (Edwards) Carter. She passed from this life on Monday, March 31, 2025 at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.
Colleen grew up Southeast of Chickasha. She attended Vaughn school for 1st through 8th grade and then went to and graduated from Alex High School.
On September 14, 1948, she married the love of life Emmett Allen in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They shared 47 years together until his death in 1995.
Colleen was a faithful member of Grand Assembly of God Church for many years. She liked to sew, garden, cook and do word searches. She enjoyed traveling and would go on vacations with her sister and her sons. She also enjoyed board games, dominoes and cards. She was a very caring and loving lady. She had a great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Emmett, her daughter Donna Colleen Biggs, and sisters Leora Goble and Lorretta Young.
Loved ones left to remember her are her sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth and Pat Allen of Chickasha, Randy Allen of Chickasha, Danny and Kelly Allen of Chickasha; daughter and son-in-law Diane and Brent Knox of Ardmore; sister Faye Smith and husband Vic of Sierra Vista, Arizona; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
Viewing for Colleen will be on Wednesday, April 2nd from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
