Funeral services for Clyde Shubert, 78, of Ninnekah, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Clyde Shubert was born January 24, 1941 in Banks County, Georgia, the son of Dillard L. Shubert and Annie B. (Gipson) Shubert. He died Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Clyde grew up and attended school in Georgia. He joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Sill in Lawton and that is how he met Charlotte D. Novy. They were married December 31, 1965 in Verden, Oklahoma and had 53 years together.
He learned the trade of welding while he was in the Army and for his entire life was a welder. He worked the majority of his career at Linville and Jackson Trailers, retiring around 2006.
Clyde liked fishing and was a big sports fan. He never missed watching the OU Sooners Football and Softball games. He also enjoyed watching basketball and was a Thunder Fan. He was a very hardworker and took good care of his family.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; son, Danny Dewayne Shubert and wife, Shatisha; daughter, Amanda Brunner and husband Daniel; brother, Larry Shubert; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Verden Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
