Funeral services for Clay Daniel Chaney, 22, of Cement will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 in the Bible Baptist Church with Josh Abbott officiating and Danny Reed assisting.
Clay Daniel Chaney was born December 9, 1994 to Mark and Gereldene Chaney in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
Clay graduated from Ninnekah High School in 2014. He played baseball, basketball, and was very active in FFA. He was a part of the CDE land judging team and he showed livestock. Since graduating high school, he has worked in the oilfield for Crescent Services, Genesis Endeavors, and Select Energy.
Clay was an avid lover of diesel trucks and he enjoyed working on them and fixing up his truck. He was recently helping his friend, Dallas, build his own semi. Clay was known for his great smile and goofy attitude. He could make anyone smile even when they were having a bad day.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gerry Chaney, Jerry Adams, and Randy Miller, Sr.; aunt, Michelle Bickerstaff; great-grandparents, W.L. and Juanita Chaney, Hollis and Jimmie Adams, June Oxford, Ward Bartlett, and Raymond and Ruth Miller.
He is survived by his mother and father, Mark and Gereldene Chaney of Cement; sister and brother-in-law, Melanie and Tim Troutman of Fairview, Montana; sister and brother-in-law, Amber and Kennis White of Chickasha; twin brother, Cody Chaney of Cement; niece, Annabelle Troutman; fiancée, Brook Busby; grandmothers, Sue Adams of Alex, Dorothy Lile of Minco, and Becky Chaney of Oklahoma City; grandfather, Clarence Bartlett of Ohio; great-grandmother, Mildred Bartlett; aunts and uncles, Tammy and Charlie Townsend, Michael and Angela Chaney, Gary and Melissa Miller, Randy Miller, Jr., Eugene and Tammy Miller; numerous cousins and other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “In Care of Clay Chaney” at the First National Bank in Chickasha.
Interment will be in Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
