Graveside services for Clarence Leon Ladd, 74, of Chickasha will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020, in the Fairlawn Cemetery with Gary Butler officiating.

Clarence ‘Leon’ Ladd passed away on Friday November 27 th , 2020, in the Lawton Veterans Center in Lawton, OK.  Leon was born on November 21 st , 1946, to Lynnwood Ladd and Ella Winfred Kellogg in Shamrock, Texas.

Leon married the love of his life Nita Fay Ladd after only knowing each other after 2 weeks on September 17 th 1970.  And they made their home in Chickasha, OK.

Leon loved his country and served in the military from 1965-1974 including 3 tours in Vietnam.  After leaving the military he worked in the oilfield mostly for Nabors International, including many years in Saudi Arabia.

Leon loved to attend car shows, sporting events with his grandchildren, fishing, and having fun with friends.  He loved fast sports cars and older classic cars.  The louder, the faster, the better.

Leon will be most remembered for his undying love for his wife, children, and grandchildren.  He was loved by many and never met a stranger.

Leon loved his mother-in-law Maxcine Crockett and other in-laws Everett Watts & Pat Watts and Ronnie & Sharon Adamson like they were his own family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lynnwood and Ella Winfred Ladd and his brother Kenneth Ladd.

Leon is survived by his wife Nita of the home, by his children Misty Croskey and her husband Cory Croskey, Stormy and Travis Grissam, and adopted son Dustin Ladd.  He is survived by siblings Pat Fraser, Lynn W and Mary Ladd, Glenn and Donna Ladd.

He leaves behind his grandchildren Hunter and Marissa Croskey, Skylar, Tanner, and Winter Croskey, and Angel, Heaven, Brittany, Raine, Sheldon, & Montana Grissam.  Leon also leaves behind two great-grandchildren Jaxon Croskey and Kaiden Jenkins and several nieces and nephews.

There will be family visitation with family present at Ferguson Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Interment and services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
