Funeral services for Clarence Davis, 83, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lynn Walker officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Clarence Davis was born on December 27, 1933 in Wright City, Oklahoma, the son of Emmett Davis and Alma (Jones) Davis. He died on January 4, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Clarence grew up in Wright City and attended school in Glover. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 and retired from military services after 20 years in 1974. He was in the 101 st Airborne Division and also in the 5 th and 7 th Special Forces Green Beret Division.

He married Connie Williams on December 26, 1954 and they were married 37 years until her passing in 1991.

After retiring from the Army, Clarence worked as a park ranger in Broken Bow, in the oilfield and then owned his own long-haul trucking business until 2006.

Clarence enjoyed fishing and loved all sweets, candy bars, cakes, and cookies. He loved his family and his great grandchildren were his life.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife and two sisters, Juanita Wood and Lucilee Daniels.

Survivors include his son, Clarence Davis, of Chickasha; granddaughters, Tasha and Brittney Davis; great-grandchildren, Bryan and Emilie Pinsonneault, Leah and Jake Cates; brothers, LD Davis and Don Davis; sister, Violet Camp; and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
