Funeral services for Christopher Wayne Self, 32, of Cement will, be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lance Perritt officiating.
Christopher Wayne Self was born September 26, 1989 in Coral Springs, Florida the son of Earl Wayne Self and Karrie Lee (Pollard) Babcock. He passed from this life on Thursday, July 28, 2022 in Cement, Oklahoma.
Chris grew up in Ninnekah and graduated from Ninnekah High School in 2008. He was employed at the Dollar General for several years and with Baggett’s Corporation as a machinist. In most recent years, he worked laying foundations in construction work.
He really enjoyed music and played in a band. He loved to draw and he had a very creative artist ability. Chris was a joker, funny, quick witted with a quirky sense of humor. Chris also enjoyed playing video games with his son and loved building model cars like his Papa. He was an avid skateboarder and collected Van shoes.
He loved his children and his wife and he will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Wayne Self; maternal grandparents Frank and Dorothey Pollard and paternal grandparents Art and Myrna Self.
He leaves behind his wife Ashley Marie Self and his children Harley James Self, Ivy Mae Self, and Hendrix Lee Self all of Cement; mothers Karrie Lee Babcock of Thayer, Kansas and Donna Sue Self of Eakly; sisters Andrea Harrelson of Fredonia, Kansas and Tonya Spencer of Oklahoma City; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral.
