The family of Charles William Pasley will hold their own private memorials.
Charles William Pasley was born to William S. and Thelma H. (Conyer) Pasley on October 3, 1925 at Sulphur, Oklahoma. He left this life and attained his heavenly home on June 3, 2019 in Marlow, Oklahoma, at the age of 93.
His early years were spent in and around the Sulphur area with his mother, sister, Cleta Mae, and Step-father, Mike Hampton. Charles joined the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged after serving 2 years.
He married Dorothy G. Blalock at Pauls Valley on April 9, 1944. They were blessed in the coming years with Shirley, Roy, Donna, Gayla, and Charlene.
On October 31, 1958, their home caught fire and they lost, Roy, Donna, Gayla and Charlene. After this tragedy, they were blessed to have Debra, Charles, Lisa, and LuCindy. He and Dorothy divorced in 1966.
He married Mattie McConnell, becoming a step-father to her children, Ronnie, Shirley, Don, Rick, Sheila, and Gerald. They had one son together, Shawn Dale.
Mattie’s death left him to raise Shawn alone, until he met and married Phyllis O’Neill Beets in 1977. She had one son, Tony.
Charles, throughout his life, worked at many differing occupations. They include, the oilfields of Texas, Driving a truck for Colverts Dairy, Sheriff’s Dept. at Sulphur, Lake Ranger at Chickasha Lake, and Brandt’s Hardware.
In his later years, he was a mentor for the Foster Grandparents Group that worked with Chickasha Public Schools. He truly enjoyed working at the school with all the kids.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; 4 children; sister Cleta Mae; step- children Gerald Harmon and Sheila Peekhan.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Phyllis Pasley; children, Shawn (Mary Jo) Pasley, Shirley (Leslie) Kimbro, Debra ( Othor Ray) Boyd, Charles (Anita) Pasley, Lisa (Rick) Byrd, LuCindy (Evan) Lee; step-children Tony Beets, Shirley Lee, Ronnie, Don, & Rick Harmon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great- great grandchildren plus a host of other relatives.
