Funeral services for Carolyn Sue Bray, 71, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.
Carolyn Sue (Moss) Bray was born the daughter of David Anthony Moss and Maribel Stone (Stovall) Moss on November 20, 1945 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
She died on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by family and welcomed gently into God’s loving embrace.
Carolyn grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School.
In 1965, she married Virgil Bray and to their union five sons, Jerry Don, Joe David, Johnny Ray, Justin Lee, and James Wendell were born.
Carolyn lived in Chickasha and was a caregiver to the elderly within the community most of her life. She attended the Church of Christ. She loved to play cards and go to the casino. The focus of her life was time spent with her friends and her sons and their families. She was an especially loving and caring person. Her many friends would call her the most loyal of friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents; sons, Jerry Don Bray, Sr., Joe David Bray, and Johnny Ray Bray; brother, David Moss; sisters, Marilyn Nikkhah and Barbara Scott.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Yvette Bray of Tulsa; son, James Bray of Chickasha; grandchildren, Jennifer Bray, Silica Erdmann, Jerry Don Bray, Jr., Judd Bray, Jaden Bray, Joshua Bray, Dawson Bray, and Jasmyne Bray; two great-grandchildren, Emberlyn Burton and Brooks Bray; many friends and other extended family members.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
