Funeral services for Bruce E. Heusel, 59, of Ninnekah, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Layman officiating.
Bruce E. Heusel was born July 9, 1956 in Thomas, Oklahoma, the son of George and Norma Gail (McCall) Heusel. He died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his home in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.
Bruce moved to Lawton as a young boy, where he attended school and graduated from Lawton High School in 1975. Over the years he was employed at various jobs, which included employment with the oilfield, Ralph and Sons Tires, Farmland Co-op and Midwest Towers.
On June 20, 1986, he married Nancy Nixon and they were married until her death in January 2013.
Bruce loved hunting and fishing. His favorite pastime was camping at the lake with Nancy and going out on their boat. For many years, he was a very active volunteer and participant in Relay for Life.
Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Gail Heusel and his wife, Nancy Heusel.
Survivors include his father, George Heusel, of Chickasha; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Kent Foster, of Chickasha; nephews and their wives, Garrett and Ashley Foster and Andrew and Jentri Foster; great nephews and niece, Maddox Benjamin Foster, Emerson Adair Foster, and Credence Hugh Foster; Nancy’s son, Timothy Keck; and other extended family and friends.
Services and interment in Ninnekah Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
