Brianna Krissean Grady-Buchanan was born on April 14th, 1984, to Debbie Balke-Ross. Brianna was born here in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Brianna sadly passed away on July 23rd 2023 at her home which was in Chickasha. Brianna was 39 when she joined her cousin Andrew and best friend Tiffany up in the sky. Brianna was a mother to four beautiful children.
Her children are Krissean Welever, Daivean Biddle, Heavyn Grady, and Llogan Buchanan. Brianna loved her children like no other, she had her first 3 at very young ages, but that never stopped her from trying, even when she had her youngest 10 years later she never stopped trying. Brianna was married to Lloyd Buchanan for 8 and 1/2 years, but together 6 years before that.
Most people did not know Brianna by the name Brianna instead everyone knew her as Brea. Brea not only had kids and a husband but had siblings as well. Her siblings included Derek Welever, Allesha Welever, Kenna Welever, Justin Welever, Chris Marsh, Dusty Marsh, and Justin Marsh. Brea dropped out of school during the 12th grade when she fell pregnant with her oldest, but don’t let that persuade you.
Brea was a very hardworking and determined person, she got her GED, and later went to OCCC to become a paramedic, she graduated her paramedic schooling in 2016, and later became an EMT. Brea’s career was cut short when she had a stroke in 2021, but she still fought hard to make sure she could work and make what money she could for her kids she had at home.
Even though she left her family to go be with the angels, and isn’t present with us today her family likes to believe that even though she can not be seen or heard she is still here and does still love all of them. She will always have her own ways of showing it like she did when she was present, even if that means she passed on her fast food “curse” and her ability to be late to everywhere she is going even if she leaves on time.
Some of the things Brea enjoyed was going out with her best friend Lori Hooper to get Duncan donuts and Olive Garden. Brea also enjoyed to color for hours and cook for people. Brea loved going swimming, one of her favorite places was Florida. Brea’s favorite music artist was Alicia Keys. Brea had many favorite people, but one of her favorite people was her father figure Darrel Stewert who took her under his wing.
One thing Brea will always have is the love from her family. We lost a very beautiful, young, caring lady. To our mother, daughter, niece, aunt, cousin we hope you’re partying it up right now listening to your music, and watching over all of us with Tiffany, and Andrew while y’all light up the sky. Breas passing is not a goodbye to her family and friends but a see ya later alligator.
No public services will be held. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
