Graveside services for Brett Alan Cook, 60, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Fairlawn Cemetery with Lynn Walker officiating.
Brett Alan Cook was born November 7, 1960 in Denison, Texas to James and Juanita (Cochran) Cook. The rest of his life was spent in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where he attended school. He was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church at the age of 11 years old. Brett was called from his earthly home on Saturday, December 19, 2020.
He was preceded in death by brothers Gary Blake Cook and Daren Ray Cook as well as his grandparents Lee and Ella Cook and Henry and Maggie Cochran.
Brett is survived by his wife, Janet (Avant) and children, Lisa Van Schuyver and husband Drue, Carla Nicholas and husband John and Eric Smith and wife Rebecca; grandchildren, who he thought rose and set the sun, Kiara, Diamon, Levi, Austin, Lane, Livia and Jackson; bonus grandchildren Logan, Devin and Chelsea; his parents James and Juanita Cook; brother Tim Cook and wife Jackie; sister Susan Bogle and husband Allan; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he adored and was so proud of their accomplishments.
In younger days, Brett was a Boy Scout who advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout and had numerous accomplishments and badges through those years. He worked for Oklahoma Transmission Supply (OTS) and was a very accomplished salesman for several years. Later he became a Snap-on Tools franchise owner for 20 years before having to retire in 2013 for health reasons.
Brett never met a stranger and made numerous friends and lasting relationships through his business dealings throughout his work years. He had a kind and gentle soul and helped people in need whenever he could.
Brett is loved and will be missed by so many.
