A funeral service for Brenda Elaine Rodgers, 67, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Brown officiating.
Brenda Elaine (Hayes) Rodgers was born December 1, 1955 in Woodlake, California to Jesse Franklin Hayes and Dixie Maxine (Shaw) Hayes. She passed from this life on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Brenda grew up in Bakersfield, California. She moved to Oklahoma with her family when she was a sophomore in high school and she graduated from Ninnekah in 1973.
On May 11, 1973, she married Mike Rodgers in Cement, Oklahoma and they shared 50 loving years together.
Brenda was blessed to stay home raising their two daughters. She kept very busy with the girls and their various activities. Her life revolved around her kids and grandkids. She loved them with all her heart. She was also very active with the church and loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by both parents.
Loved ones left to remember her are her husband Mike of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Melanie and Jerry Tillman of Sulphur and Jennifer and Todd Collins of Oklahoma City; sister and brother-in-law Jenny and Mike Phillips of Chickasha; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Terri and Steve Hayes of Chickasha; grandchildren Justin and wife Lacy, Brandi, Tracker, Jessleah, and Bailey; and great-granddaughter Tally; niece Rachelle and her husband Connor and their baby Adeline; nieces and nephews Justine, Ty, Seth, Tara and Killian; and other extended family and friends.
There will be no public viewing.
The service and the interment in Ninnekah Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
