Funeral services for Bob Brown, 62, of Chickasha will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the 1st and Georgia Church of Christ with Darryal Young and Milton Bowens, Jr. officiating.
Bob A. Brown was born on October 2, 1957 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Willie James Brown and Juanita (Hicks) Brown. He went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Chickasha, Oklahoma after a long battle with cancer.
Bob grew up in Chickasha and graduated Chickasha High School in 1976. He was an independent contract truckdriver, driving long-haul across country and living in Chickasha most of his life. He later married Linda Vernell Johnson and they were married until her passing in 2010.
He was a very outgoing person; he never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anybody. Bob was a member of the 1st and Georgia Church of Christ and was very active in the church until his health declined. He was the calm and peaceful presence in the family.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Willie Brown and his wife Linda Brown.
Survivors include his mother Juanita Brown of Chickasha; sister Crystal Orange of Chickasha; brother Willie Joe Brown of Chickasha; brother Timothy Brown, Sr and wife Kevion of Tulsa; sister Carla Brown of Chickasha; sister Nicole Brown of Denton, Texas; children Dessica, April, Tina, Bobbie and Greg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Viewing will be at Ferguson Funeral Home starting Thursday, December 26th at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. and prior to the service at the church.
Interment in Fairlawn Cemetery will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
