Funeral services for Betty Lou Hays, 80, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2015 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Kim Hayes officiating.
Betty Lou (Brehm) Hays was born November 11, 1935 in Clinton, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Nellie (McMullin) Brehm. She died Thursday, December 03, 2015 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Betty grew up in Clinton and was the second of eight children.
On June 6, 1953, she married the love of her life, Bobby Lee Hays in Clinton, Oklahoma. In 2008, shortly after their 55 th wedding anniversary, Bobby passed away.
In 1965, the family moved to Chickasha and opened the Bob Hays Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge. Betty worked alongside Bobby as the secretary and co-owner of the dealership for many years. Later she was employed in a clerical position at USAO and also later owned and operated Bagwell’s, across from the Junior High.
Betty loved to play golf with Bobby and their friends. She was a special lady and was greatly loved.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, two sisters, Ruby Hays and Wanda Adams, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Hays.
Survivors include son, Tony Hays of Oklahoma City; son, Claudy Hays, of Corpus Christi, Texas; and daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Garland Nall, of Chickasha; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild; and other extended family and friends.
Services and interment in Rose Hill Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
