Memorial services for Bernice “Bea” Hunter, 72, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Layman officiating.
Bernice Irene Hunter, known as “Bea”, was born November 29, 1946 in St. Louis, Oklahoma to Rhube W. Collins and Bertha A. (Cummings) Collins. She died Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Bea graduated from Velma-Alma High School. In 1968, she married J. C. Hunter, Sr.
She owned, operated, and managed several local Chickasha businesses through the years, including Adventureland Video which later became Crossroads Video and Munn’s Flower Shop.
Bea was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, J.C. Hunter and four siblings, Rhuben James Collins, Glenndel Gene Collins, Janyce Collins-Brown and Renee Collins.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Tiffiny Hunter, of Chickasha; sister, Kay Beverly Fields of Duncan; grandchildren, Destiny Elizabeth Jackson and Ethan Bishop Trammell; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
