Graveside services for Aubrey L. Pool, 90, of Rush Springs, previously of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012, in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
Aubrey L. Pool was born July 14,1922, in Connerville, Oklahoma, the son of Samuel C. Pool and Rachel L. Hendrix. He died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at home, in Rush Springs.
Aubrey grew up in Chickasha and attended Chickasha public schools.
He was a member of the United States Army in the early 1940s.
Aubrey married Dorothy L. Kennedy on December 19, 1953, and then made their home in Ninnekah.
He was employed as a long haul distance truck driver for many years.
Aubrey enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to rodeos. During the last few years Aubrey especially enjoyed the senior citizens dances all around the Chickasha and Grady County area.
He was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers and two sisters, his wife Dorothy, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Survivors include: six daughters and sons in law: Linda and Ronald Gray of Chickasha, Julia Bentley of Chickasha, Kathy and Mike Glass of Chickasha, Twila Land of Amber, and Sandra Cape of Elk City; son and daughter in law, Aubrey and Donna Pool, of Ninnekah; one brother and sister-in-law, Edsel and Juanita Pool of Chickasha; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
