Graveside services for Arthur H. Bogle, Jr., 69 of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 in the Sterling Cemetery, Sterling, Oklahoma.
Arthur H. Bogle, Jr. was born on July 17, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the eldest son of Arthur Hugh Bogle, Sr. and Juanita Carol (Johnson) Bogle. He died Monday, November 30, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Arthur grew up in the Chickasha and Lawton areas. He attended school at Pioneer and Chickasha. He joined the United States Army as a young man and served for over 20 years, retiring in February 1988. He then worked 18 years as a maintenance supervisor for Lockheed Martin.
On August 4, 1972, Arthur married Sandra Kelley in Lawton, Oklahoma.
He was an avid gun and sword collector and he enjoyed going to gun shows. He also liked hunting and fishing. Arthur, even as a young man, loved antique cars. He loved to cook and his family never knew exactly what they were eating, but it always tasted good. He had traveled a lot with his work and he picked up much of the culture and food from those countries. He really loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids.
Arthur was preceded in death by both parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, James (LeRoy) and Tammy Bogle, Tommy and Elizabeth Bogle, Chad Bogle, and Tim and Kristy Bogle; daughters and sons-in-law, Rae Dawn and James Alexander, and Tammy and Sammy Barry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jackie Bogle, Sam and Teresa Bogle, James and Mary Bogle, Ronnie and Sherry Bogle, Allan and Susan Bogle, Mike and Stephanie Bogle, and Terry and Kay Bogle; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Michael Presley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
