Funeral services will be held for Archie Gail Lee, 77, of Chickasha at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Chickasha with Barry Hardin officiating.
Archie Gail Lee was born on March 4, 1934, in Calera, Oklahoma to Grady Lee and Zula Virgil Barnett Lee. He passed on to heaven on Monday, January 23, 2012, in Chickasha.
He married Norma ‘Jean’ Howie on July 29, 1952, in Calera, Oklahoma. They were married for 59 years. Gail spent many years working for Colvert Dairy. In 1970 he changed professions and went to work for Pet, Inc. Frozen Foods Division where he spent 27 years at the Chickasha Plant. He spent his last few years as Steve LaForge’s right-hand man.
Gail was involved in many community activities throughout the years including the Lions Club and Festival of Light. He also served some time on the city council and was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was an avid supporter of the Youth Group in the 70’s, helping with car washes and other fundraisers for missions trips.
Gail loved watching his grandchildren play sports and participate in 4-H and FFA activities. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed the pranks he pulled on family and friends. He lived for his family and friends, especially the Elstons, Talleys, Ludwicks, and Elliotts.

He was preceded in death by: both parents and one sister, Geraldine Lynch.
Survivors include: wife, Jean; three daughters, Debbie Grubb & husband Sherman III of Sapulpa, Vicki Jackson & husband Brian of Chickasha, and Leslie Lee of Oklahoma City; one sister, Joyce Bennett of Durant; sister-in-law, Lawanna Pair and husband Jim of Bakersfield, CA; five grandchildren and their spouses, Justin & Mindi Jackson, Tamara & Jeff Pollock, Sherman ‘Lee’ Grubb IV, Jacqulin Jackson, and Josh Jackson; one great-grandchild, Annabella Jackson; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
