Anthony Carlton Hart was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on March 13 th , 1940. Anthony came into this world with a very unique path ahead of him and a road to pave. Anthony lived his entire life in Chickasha, Oklahoma and in that time, he lived a life filled with great memories, dreams fulfilled, incredible relationships and above all, love.
Anthony attended Chickasha High School and later went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1963, where he was honorably discharged.
In 1964, Anthony married the love of his life, Karen Kay Martin Hart on June 5 th of 1964. Anthony and Kay raised three daughters together: Tamala Kay Hart, Robin Lynn Hart and Tracy Diane Graham. In their time together Anthony and Kay lived a lot of life. They raised children, welcomed grandchildren and later great grandchildren. They travelled the world, fostered relationships, enjoyed their share of OU Football and later went on to enjoy retirement together.
Perhaps one of the adventures Anthony and Kay are most well-known for is their contribution to the equine and horse trailer industry. In June of 1968, Anthony and Kay Hart embarked on a mission that would forever change their lives and the lives of many others when they started a small horse trailer manufacturing company in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Anthony and Kay set out to design and manufacture the very best horse trailer on the road and together they did. Anthony and Kay went on to spend the rest of their working lives pouring into their dream and the results of their actions were far reaching. Today more than 56 years later, their commitment to perfection and integrity still lives on at Hart Trailer.
After retiring from Hart in 2010, Anthony enjoyed his time tinkering with his old classic cars and taking on the youngsters on his PlayStation 4. It was not out of the norm for him to show up at the office every now and then in the mornings, something those at Hart looked forward to and enjoyed. Just as Anthony was passionate about his career and hobbies, he was even more passionate about those that he loved and constantly found ways to take care of those closest to him. Anthony was a member of Parkview Christian Church where he attended for many years.
On July 12 th of 2024, Anthony left behind his incredible 84 years on earth to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Anthony will be greatly missed and his absence will continue to be felt. As for Anthony, this is not the end.
