Memorial services for Anna Lee Hunt, 98, formerly of the Chickasha and Amber area, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Amber, Oklahoma with Bob Gordon officiating.
Born in Doniphan, MO on June 12, 1921 to Ida and Grady Parrish. She died December 26, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. Anna Lee grew up in Altus, OK and attended Altus Junior College and a business college in Oklahoma City, OK. She met the love of her life, Charlie Hunt, who was teaching at the Altus Junior College. She married Charles G. Hunt on June 27, 1941. Together they raised three sons.
After raising her sons, she did administrative secretarial work for Oklahoma College for Women, Chickasha Mobile Homes, and served as assistant to the Grady County School Superintendent, all in Chickasha, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Grady Parrish; her siblings, James W. Parrish, Daniel Parrish, Ronald Parrish, Elsie Parrish Warren, and Theda Parrish Berry; and husband, Charlie Hunt.
She is survived by sons James G. Hunt and wife Cathy of Edmond, OK; Glen R. (Dick) Hunt and wife Julia of Oklahoma City, OK; John C. Hunt and wife Laura of Dallas, TX. Grandchildren James Corey Hunt of Oregon City, OR; Anna Rebecca Hunt of Bath, ME; Chelsea Thorne of Peyton, CO; Lauren Nicole Stickney of Saint Petersburg, FL; Jonas Carnes of Stillwater, OK; Abbie Hunt of Houston, TX; Tessa Hunt of Austin, TX; eight Great Grandchildren; and one Great, Great Granddaughter.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
A private interment of cremains will be in the Amber Cemetery.
