Ann Haralson

d. August 13, 2015

Funeral services for Ann Haralson, 70, of Chickasha, will be held Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cowboy Country Church, 4092 Norge Road, with Lynn Walker officiating.

Ann Haralson was born August 18, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to Troy Ira and Maureen Elizabeth (Norman) Petty. She grew up in Levelland, Texas and graduated from West Texas State University in 1966 with a degree in Elementary Education.

On May 7, 1966, Ann married the love of her life, Julius Elmer Haralson, in Hereford, Texas. Together they had three children-Cristal Dawn, April Elizabeth, and Velvet Ann. Julius’s job as a city manager required them to travel and they lived in Canyon, Texas, Abilene, Texas, Winfield, Kansas, Marietta, Georgia, Manitu Springs, Colorado, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Rockford, Illinois, and Santa Fe, New Mexico before settling in Chickasha, Oklahoma in the fall of 1979.

Ann taught at Southwest Elementary and Chickasha Intermediate School, and they opened Ann’s Quick Print on Chickasha Avenue in February of 1980.

Ann and Julius are active members of Chickasha Cowboy Country Church. She entered into rest on August 13, 2015, and we rejoice that she is home at last.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her stepmother, Rita Petty, and her sister, Sandra Kay Mulkey.

She is survived and remembered by her husband, Julius Haralson of Chickasha, her three daughters-Cristal Hosek and husband Scott of Wayne, April Phillips of Sapulpa, and Velvet Smith and husband Eric of Chickasha; her four brothers, Troy Petty of Tucson, Arizona, Randy Petty and wife Tonya of Safford, Arizona, Ron Petty and wife Barb of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Scott Petty and wife Terri, also of Las Vegas; her seven grandchildren-Paige Holden, Justin Bozarth, Baylee Bozarth, Marissa Smith, Maranda Smith, Jadyn Phillips, and Makayla Phillips, and one great-grandson, Carter Holden, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services and interment in Fairlawn Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
