Memorial services for Alice Marie Roberts, 97, of Chickasha will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Alice Marie (Hilliard) Roberts was born April 5, 1924 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was the youngest child, born to Ethel and Walter Hilliard. Proceeded in death by both parents, two brothers Payton and Ervin Hilliard and four sisters Lula Roberts, Willa Mae Foreman, Corrine Palmer and Olahoma Lister.
Alice attended Chickasha schools and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1942. She met L.T. Roberts when she was 13 years old becoming sweethearts for life. At 18 years old, Alice and L.T. were married on January 23, 1943. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Riley, Optometrist for several years but made L.T. her full time job when he was stricken with multiple sclerosis. As L.T.’s “Sunday Girl” wife and caregiver they had an amazing and wonderful 60 years of marriage. They worked as partners in rental property but enjoyed life traveling to Alaska, Mexico, and Hawaii plus the rest of the 50 states in the motor home. They enjoyed family and friends at home and at their cabin on Lake Humphrey. They devoted their lives to each other. Alice survived L.T. by 18 years, but rejoined him at 97 years old on January 29, 2022.
Alice was a vibrant, energetic, feisty, and beautiful women inside and outside forever loved and admired.
