A celebration of life will be held for Alice Mae (Perry) Tims, 56, of Chickasha, at the Cowboy Country Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 27 th , 2016 with Pastor Lynn Walker officiating.
Alice Mae Tims was born March 3 rd , 1960 at Chickasha Hospital to Orville Duane Perry and Maxine Moore Roberts. Alice succumbed to Liver disease on October 15, 2016 in Chickasha. Alice was among her closet friends when she passed peacefully at her home.
Alice graduated from Chickasha High School in 1978. After high school, she and Rick Tims married July 4 th , 1979. They were married for about 10 years. During that time, she worked at Pet Milk until its closing. Alice went back to school and became a certified Surgical Instrument Tech when her journey began. In 2000 Alice started at Baptist Hospital in heart surgery and in 2001 a new team was formed and she left OKC and headed to Enid. Alice lived in Enid and worked with the heart team for over 12 years.
In 2013, Alice moved back to Chickasha to be closer to friends and family.
Alice’s fun times were going to the deer woods with her aunts, uncles and cousins. Alice would keep the camp together while they were out hunting. She enjoyed many trips to Surfside Beach, Texas with her Aunt Wanda. She loved big family holidays at Fillmore, Ok.
Alice’s latest love was helping with spay and neuter clinics for Pets Without Parents, Inc. and Friends Fur Change.
Alice was preceded in death by her dad, O.D. Perry; paternal grandparents, Teddy and Grace Perry; and maternal grandparents Sid and Bessie Moore.
Alice is survived by her mother, Maxine Moore Roberts; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Pat Perry; niece, Chandra Perry and great-niece Ava; aunts and uncles, Wanda Coats, Juanita Carter, Ethel Gray, Bettie Bynum, Bubby Moore, Patsy Chapman, Alma Purvis, Donnie Moore, Ronnie Moore and Bobby Moore; and numerous cousins. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Cindy Novotny and Cindy’s husband, Mark. A special thank you to Lifeline Hospice and Dr. Linda Johnson, they went above and beyond for Alice.
Alice requested that in lieu of flowers, please plant a flower or tree in her honor.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
