Funeral services for Alice Frances Stowe, 65, of Chickasha, will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Colbert officiating.
Alice Frances Stowe was born February 21, 1949 in Brenham, Texas to Ethel V. (Felder) Hector. She died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Alice grew up in Somerville, Texas and moved to Chickasha in 1958, attending Lincoln School.
She married Columbus Harper Junior and to this union her two sons, Bryan and Craig, were born. She stayed at home taking care of her family most of her life.
On March 21, 2001, Alice married Gregory Stowe in Chickasha. She enjoyed working on crafts and in her flowerbeds. She also liked to play cards, bingo, and dominoes. Alice loved life and made friends easily. She would take anyone into her home to help them.
Alice was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Hector and her son, Bryan Harper.
Survivors include her husband of the home, Gregory Stowe; son, Craig Harper of Chickasha; grandsons, Tramell Harper and Derrick of Chickasha; sister, Carolyn Mills of Beaumont, Texas; brother, Eddie Felder, of Galveston, Texas; sister, Alma Hector of Galveston, Texas; sister, Barbara Hector of Galveston, Texas; James Hector of Port Arthur, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Dolories and Jackie Ross of Dickinson, Texas; brother, Dewayne Hector of Houston, Texas; sister, Hattie Felder of Texas City, Texas; brother, Marvin Hector of Galveston, Texas; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Following the funeral services, Alice’s choice was cremation.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
